Store Manager Candidate

Overview

Role Overview:
The Store Manager Candidate supports store operations by assisting in employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and ensuring a clean, safe environment. This position serves as a developmental step towards becoming a Store Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with recruiting, staffing, and training staff.

Support merchandise presentation, stocking, and storage according to store policies.

Help manage inventory, including damages, markdowns, and stock levels.

Ensure excellent customer service and adherence to company policies.

Participate in store opening and closing, cash handling, and financial security.

Maintain store cleanliness, safety, and compliance with procedures.

Analyze sales and operational data to identify trends and opportunities.

Complete required documentation accurately and timely.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Ability to interpret manuals, safety rules, and procedures.
• Strong math skills and cash handling knowledge.
• Familiarity with inventory, merchandising, and retail operations.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Preferred bilingual skills (Spanish).

Experience & Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail experience is advantageous.

Physical & Working Conditions:
Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 40-55 pounds, occasional climbing, and driving are required in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise. Occasional outdoor exposure and travel may be necessary.
