Overview
Role: Assist in intra-hospital transport of pediatric and adult patients, ensuring safe movement and patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Recognize patient status changes and notify appropriate personnel during transport.
- Assist with procedures and monitor patients according to departmental standards.
- Support inpatient care and patient repositioning under nurse supervision.
- Provide care addressing physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of patients.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Preferred experience in medical assisting, patient care assisting, nursing assisting, or student nursing, especially in pediatrics or healthcare.
- Proficiency in transport software and phone communication is advantageous.
- High school diploma or equivalent; current BLS certification required.
- At least 6 months of related experience preferred.
