Role Overview:
The Sales Consultant promotes products and services by building relationships with new and existing customers, focusing on amenities, textiles, room accessories, paper, janitorial supplies, and related products for hotels and markets. They utilize consultative selling techniques, manage accounts, identify new sales opportunities, and provide excellent customer service to achieve sales and profit goals. The role involves regular communication with internal departments, assisting with new account setup, forecasting sales, and maintaining customer relationships.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business preferred.
- 3-5 years of proven sales success, preferably in hospitality or supply/distribution sectors.
- Strong communication, negotiation, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to work proactively, think creatively, and handle multiple initiatives.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, analytical tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Professional demeanor, goal-oriented, and capable of building trust with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and grow existing accounts; identify new sales opportunities.
- Conduct sales calls, presentations, and consultative selling.
- Manage customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with internal teams for account setup and service delivery.
- Forecast sales trends and support customer retention and growth strategies.
Physical & Work Environment:
- Requires sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.
- Frequent travel for appointments, training, and industry events.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- If remote, a dedicated workspace and internet connection are essential.
- Potential evening and weekend work based on customer needs.
